Introduction – What is Gravity Forms?
Gravity Forms is a very powerful WordPress plugin. If you want to do something with a form then Gravity forms can do it.
Register user, create and update posts, eCommerce are just a few of the things you can do with the Gravity Forms plugin.
It is probably the oldest premium form building WordPress plugin on the market.
The age of the plugin should mean that you have an error free experience.
Summary – Who is Gravity Forms for?
Gravity Forms is a very versatile plugin, if you want a form to do anything then Gravity Forms or Formidable Forms is for you.
I would say that if you can stomach the price for Gravity forms and you need it for a specific reason then go for it, but I have heard people purchase this WordPress plugin to combat spam!
Obviously in the combat spam department WordPress has an army of plugins for just that occasion and many of them would be a far more economical option.
The Cons of Gravity Forms
- Expensive for a form plugin for all the options.
The Pros of Gravity Forms
My experience with Gravity Forms
I tried Gravity Forms and Formidable Forms about a decade ago. They are both very capable plugins to this day.
Gravity Forms used to have alot more options back in the day and was and probably still is considered to be the Rolls Royce of form building plugins.
Gravity forms is a mature and well developed plugin that once set up you should have no issues with.
They have a good support team who respond pretty quickly (I tried :)) so even if you do need support you are sure to get it.
That being said do your research on if a different plugin would be a more suitable fit for your particular use case (No point using it to fight spam when a more suitable option might only cost you $20 a year).
